Your navigation logbook inside Seanapps

Accessing your navigation history

  1. Log in to the Seanapps application
  2. Click on the Boat tab at the bottom of the home screen
  3. Under your boat’s name at the top of the screen, click Journeys

You’re there! This is where all your navigations will be automatically recorded thanks to Seanapps connectivity.

 

The content of your history

Your navigation history consists of the following elements:

  • List of Journeys : This is the screen displayed when you have followed the steps above. Scroll down to go back in time. Click on a navigation to view more details.
     
  • The Journey page: This is a summary of key information.
    • Starting point, date, time, GPS coordinates
    • Arrival point, date, time, GPS coordinates
    • Number of trips
    • Total duration of the Journey
    • Total distance traveled 
    • Calculated average speed
    • Maximum recorded speed
    • The gallery
    • The logbook
       
  • The Trip page: It contains the same elements as the Journey page but details only the information of the selected stopover. A Journey consists of one or more Trips.

Note: Seanapps connectivity automatically detects your Trips and records them automatically under Journeys > Trips. A Journey automatically starts as soon as your boat travels a certain distance at sea. A Journey ends as soon as your boat remains stationary for more than 24 hours or returns to its starting point. Stopovers between these two moments are recorded as Trips

 

Editing a Journey or a Trip

On the Navigation page or the Stopover page, you can edit:

  • The name of the Journey/Trip
  • The gallery 
  • The logbook

Renaming a Journey or a Trip

To edit the name, on the navigation/stopover page:

  1. Log in to the application
  2. Go to the Journey page you want to rename
  3. Click on the [...] icon in the header banner
  4. Click on Rename.
  5. Save your changes

Adding a picture to your gallery

To add a picture to the gallery of one Journey/Trip :

  1. Log in to the application
  2. Go to the Journey/Trip page to which you want to add a picture
  3. Click on the [+] icon in the Gallery section
  4. Select one or more pictures from your phone’s gallery or use your phone’s camera to take a new picture.

Deleting a picture

To delete a picture:

  1. Log in to the application
  2. Go to the Journey/Trip page from which you want to delete a picture
  3. In the Gallery section below the navigation summary, click on the picture you want to delete.
  4. At the top of the picture viewing screen, click on the Trash icon

Writing in the Logbook

The Logbook is a place where you can freely note events, memories, comments, technical information.

  1. Log in to the application
  2. Go to the Journey/Trips page to which you want to add a note into the logbook
  3. In the Logbook section below the Gallery section, click on the [+] icon
  4. Write freely
  5. Save

 

Sharing a navigation

To share a summary of one of your navigations with your family, friends, or anyone of your choice:

  1. Log in to the application
  2. Go to the Journey/Trip page you want to share
  3. At the header, click on the Share button
  4. Select the sharing option you want
  5. Follow the steps
