What is privacy in Seanapps?

Your privacy settings determine what information and data are shared, with whom, and for what purpose. In accordance with European Union regulations on the matter, you are the only person who can modify these settings at any time.

 

Accessing your privacy settings

After downloading the Seanapps application and logging in, click on the Profile icon in the header of the home screen. On the screen that appears, you will find a section called Privacy Settings. Click on it.

 

Editing your privacy settings

Once in the menu, you will find three different sections allowing you to enable or disable the sharing of your data using the associated on/off buttons

1. Boat health status
   > This section determines who has access to the technical data of your boat. GPS location data is excluded
   1. Manufacturer expertise:
      > By enabling the sharing of technical data with your boat's manufacturer, you contribute to the technical improvement of the boat and associated services.
   2. Proactive maintenance
      > By enabling the sharing of technical data with the professional responsible for monitoring your boat, you allow them to understand more easily and quickly the maintenance operations to be carried out on board your boat
       
2. Location and security
   > This section determines who has access to your boat's GPS location.
   1. Manufacturer expertise
      > By enabling the sharing of location with your boat's manufacturer, you contribute to the technical improvement of the boat and associated services.
   2. Assistance and after-sales service
      > By enabling the sharing of location with the professional responsible for monitoring your boat, you allow them to provide enhanced assistance and repair services.
       
3. Personalized offers and advice
   > This section determines whether you agree to share your application user data in order to enjoy a personalized experience within your app (news, challenges, offers).
